Home Depot is partnering with the AARP
to hire older workers. Home Depot plans to hire 35,000 employees
this year with hopes that a significant portion of these jobs
will include retirees or people on the verge of retirement. This marks
the first time a national retail chain has targeted older workers for
jobs.
Home Depot will hire. AARP
will recruit and train. Jobs will pay $7 to $20 an hour, both
full-time and part-time. Workers must be 55 or older to qualify for the
program.
Now we’ll look for Target to be right on
target when it targets retirees, too. |
