AARP Tax Help 

AARP runs the nation’s largest volunteer-staffed tax prep and counseling service.  Tax-Aide counsels and helps middle- and low-income taxpayers age 60 and older with their returns.  It launched its tax season on February 2. 

You may visit Tax-Aide at 9,000 locations between now and April 15.  Volunteers also come to hospitals, retirement homes and residences to help the homebound.

Tax-Aide began in 1968 with 4 volunteers who assisted 100 tax returns.  Last year, 32,000 IRS-trained volunteers help 1.85 million taxpayers.
