AARP Jobs TrainingAARP offers a jobs Service Employment Program to seniors in 27 states. The U.S. Department of Labor funds most of its $80 billion annual budget. The thrust is to train and assist in finding permanent jobs. Participants must be at least 55 years old and have an income at or below 125% of the poverty level. AARP runs a parallel program for those who are marginally younger or whose income is slightly higher than the Employment Program threshold.
